CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOUNDATION

The foundation was set up in Chadwick Boseman’s memory in order to provide support for young black artists through a scholarship at his alma mater, Howard University. Our mandate was to inspire these young artists to apply for this program as well as to drive traffic towards their instagram page to raise awareness for donations.

After discussions with Mrs. Boseman and some other key members of the foundation, we identified 3 content pillars that would inspire young artists by showing them that art is an avenue for them to succeed in life. By focusing on historically important black artists, current black artists excelling in their fields and current students in the program, our idea was to present a holistic inspirational message for prospective students by highlighting how art can be a genuine way to uplift their lives. We created a list of current artists and Mrs. Boseman reached out to them in order to get permission to post their work. She also provided us with the permissions and works from their current students. For the historic artists, we chose the ones that gave free use for their works to everyone. We developed a creative brief around these 3 pillars to guide all future content creation.
